Spanish River Concerts kicks off their season with Hungarian violinist, Zoltán Mága January 9 - 24, 2017 at Spanish River Church and Kings Point Theatre, Delray. Spanish River Concerts is known for producing one-of-a-kind productions for their audiences and the Zoltán Mága concert will be like no other featuring fiery singers, vividly costumed dancers and a world-class orchestra, performing heart-breaking ballads, exotic gypsy airs, Broadway tunes, and classical masterpieces.

Zoltán's talent has earned him worldwide recognition and acclaim. His show will include Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5, Offenbach's Can-Can, beautiful songs and duets from musicals, and many selections from the PBS National TV Special, "Zoltán Mága: From Budapest with Love," recorded at the beautiful, historic Vigado Concert Hall in Budapest.

Broadway World wrote "Zoltán Mága's technical and expressive brilliance on his violin makes him a worldwide phenomenon." Zoltán has a unique, instantly recognizable crossover style, mingling classical, folk, pop, and other genres of music.

In addition to his extraordinary musical virtuosity, Zoltán has demonstrated an immense desire to give back to the underprivileged, and is known for his conviction that 'music is a means to make the world better'. His inimitable personality infuses his music, making it truly unique and loved by fans of all ages.

Mr. Mága started his formal education in the Talentum (Talent) International Art School of Dance and Music. In 1997 he earned a performing artist diploma in the folk music division, which was presented to him by violinist Miklós Szenthelyi, a Kossuth Award laureate (the highest ranking cultural award in Hungary). Mr. Mága quickly found fame throughout Europe as well as in the U.S. and the Far East as lead violinist of the Rajkó Orchestra and the Budapest Gypsy Orchestra, a world-touring ensemble that he founded.

In August 2009, Mr. Mága launched a series of charity concerts in Budapest's St. Stephen's called "100 Church Concerts." These concerts were born in the spirit of creating unity in Hungary by coming together to provide support to the disadvantaged-an initiative that earned him acclaim even from Pope Benedict XVI. The two years of Church Concerts have proven that in Hungary, thousands of people are willing to join to help others. In recognition of his artistic and charity mission, Mr. Mága was invited to the Vatican in September 2011 and was received by Pope Benedict XVI. The violinist played a Hungarian folk song in honor of the Holy Father. Mr. Mága handed over a violin to His Holiness as a gift on behalf of the entire Hungarian nation. Earlier that year, Mr. Mága was again led by the aim of creating a tradition when he launched the Budapest New Year's Day Concert on January 1, 2009. More than 12,000 spectators stood up to applaud and cheer the artist in the Papp László Budapest Sport Arena.

In 2011, The Zoltán Mága Show was broadcast at peak viewing times on the channel of the nation and has attracted the largest audience in history for Duna Television. The large- scale show offered performances from the most prominent Hungarian performing artists of both classical and pop music, accompanied live by the Primarius Symphonic Orchestra. Subsequently, in 2012 he had a 100-station series of concerts under the title of "Violin Magic." This time, he performed with the Budapest Operetta Theatre and world-famous Hungarian artists to popularize Hungarian music.
