The Warmth Of The Season Is In Bloom In Slow Burn Theatre's
THE SECRET GARDEN Named by Time magazine as "the best American musical of the Broadway season" for its debut, The Secret Garden receives a special holiday production presented by Slow Burn Theatre Company and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in the Amaturo Theater from Thursday, December 14-Sunday, December 31.

The beloved children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Marsha Norman, who won the Tony Award for the musical's book and penned the lyrics. The musical has remained a favorite since its premiere and a new production is being readied for a Broadway revival.

Orphaned in India, 11 year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his invalid son Colin. The estate's many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the "Dreamers," spirits from Mary's past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden's compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.

Slow Burn Theatre's production is directed and choreographed by the company's Artistic Director Patrick Fitzwater. Alexa Lasanta, Michael Urusa , Matthew Korinko, Elizabeth Sackett and Christo Amygdalitsis head a cast which includes Aaron Bower, Michael Cartwright, Anne Chamberlain, Johnbarry Green, Leigh Green, Kimmi Johnson, Kyle Kemph, Michael Kreutz, Stephanny Noria, Ann Marie Olson, Sahid Pabon, Rick Peña, Erin Pittleman, Chris Robertson, Andrew Rodriguez Triana and Casey Sacco.

Slow Burn Theatre Company's production of The Secret Garden is presented through special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

Performances are Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. with a matinee on Wednesday, December 27 at 1 p.m.
