Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre's 2013-2014 Season is as follows:

Ruthless! The Musical
Book and lyrics by Joel Paley, music by Marvin Laird
October 9 - November 3, 2013
Winner of a Drama Desk Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award, Ruthless! The Musical
is a gem of a satirical musical about the consuming drive for stardom. Practically perfect third grader Tina Demark knows she was born to play "Pippi" in her school musical, and she will do anything to win the part. Anything! This outrageous and hysterically funny hit garnered rave reviews during its Off-Broadway run in the 1990's and is perfectly poised for a revival in the celebrity driven times of today.

Making God Laugh
By Sean Grennan
December 4 - 29, 2013
Making God Laugh is that rare play that manages to be absolutely genuine, deeply moving and unbelievably funny all at once. The show title is inspired by the Woody Allen joke, "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans." In Sean Grennan's new comedy, the play centers on a couple of empty nesters welcoming home their three children over various holidays spanning three decades. As the parents and grown children deal with each of their evolving lives, we get a glimpse inside their dreams, unresolved issues, old family traditions, and of course, dubious holiday recipes. Tensions flare up and laughs break out as audiences join the family fun during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's visits.

End Of The Rainbow
By Peter Quilter
January 15 - February 9, 2014
It's December 1968 and Judy Garland is about to make her triumphant comeback...again. In a London hotel room preparing for a series of concerts, with both her new young fiancé and her adoring accompanist, Garland struggles to get "beyond the rainbow" with her signature cocktail of talent, tenacity, and razor-sharp wit. This savagely funny drama offers unique insight into the inner conflict that inspired and consumed one of the most beloved figures in American popular culture. A play with music, End Of The Rainbow was a hit on Broadway and features an evening of explosive acting, classic songs, and fierce emotion.

SPAMALOT
Book and lyrics by Eric Idle, music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle
March 5 - 30, 2014
Winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical, Monty Python's SPAMALOT, the musical comedy sensation lovingly ripped off from the film classic "Monty Python and The Holy Grail," now returns to spread laughter and cheer throughout the Kingdom of South Florida. Telling the tale of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and featuring a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people, Monty Python's SPAMALOT "raises silliness to an art form" (The Sunday Times) and has been hailed as "a no-holds-barred smash hit" (The New Yorker).

Scott and Hem in the Garden of Allah
By Mark St. Germain
May 14 - June 8, 2014
F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway wrestle with the sparks of art and the perils of creativity- and the personal destruction they can reap-in this combative new play set amidst Hollywood's glittery backdrop. Fueled by friendship and rivalry, two literary heavyweights reunite in 1937 for a final night at the Los Angeles resort villa, the Garden of Allah. A humorous and heated exchange ensues in this smart and powerful drama about the cost of love, friendship and the personal and professional price of being a writer.

MID-LIFE 2! (The Crisis Continues)
Book, music and lyrics by Jim Walton & Bob Walton
July 16 - August 17, 2014
MID-LIFE 2! (The Crisis Continues) Mid-life 2, the follow up to the hilarious Mid-life! (The Crisis Musical) performed to critical acclaim and great success by Actors' Playhouse in 2008, takes us back into the middle ages once again. This hilariously tuneful look at the aches, pains, and joys of getting older. From ever-increasing trips to the doctor's office, to the horrifying moment when one qualifies for a senior discount, the ever-growing legion of aging Baby Boomers and beyond are sure to see their lives reflected in this brand new, witty musical revue.
