SPT ($525/week for a 35 hour rehearsal week)
SEEKING
Equity actor for the following role:
JOEL: Male; 35-45; an out-of-work actor (a “has been” who never was); Jewish; he performs the solo show as a way to speak up and tell his story; as a single actor performs all the roles in the play (over twenty); changes in character must be accomplished physically through gesture, posture and stance and vocally through accent, tone and pitch rather than through any costume changes; during the course of the play Joel discovers one of the world’s great relics in his grandmother’s attic and finds that getting all he ever wished for still leaves him wanting.
PREPARATION
Prepare a brief comedic monologue of their own choosing in which they play multiple characters as the paly requires a single actor to play over twenty roles. Bring a headshot and resume

Rehearsals begin April 22nd thru April 28th; there will be a one week break (April 29th to May 5th) during which Queens Theatre will pay health contributions for the week off; Tech week resumes May 6th thru May 10th. Performances start May 10th; Closing May 19th with a possible extension to May 26th which would also be a five performance week - Thur thru Sun

EPA Procedures are in effect for audition.
