Should in-person callbacks be offered, per suggested Equity guidelines, all participants in callbacks must be fully vaccinated.

BREAKDOWN

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS :

To submit, please tape the song in the Dropbox link below. Please accompany yourself singing on guitar. Actors who wish to audition for roles that are already cast may use the piano track provided.

A note regarding self-tape quality: Please film your audition in front of a clean background, with no backlighting. As much as possible, limit ambient noise.

SEEKING THE FOLLOWING ROLE:

MALE GHOST - Male identifying, 20's. Before he died he was a singer in a band in the 1920’s in Maine. He and the female ghost do the majority of singing in the show. Sings a variety of styles but mainly pop/rock/indie. Plays the guitar proficiently. Black, Latine, MENASA, API, Indigenous, mixed, or white actors encouraged to submit.

THE FOLLOWING ROLES ARE CAST:

LILY - Female, 40’s to early 50’s. Caucasian. Lily runs a lighthouse in Maine, dialect is important. She is a salt-of-the earth type, used to doing manual labor, despite her clubbed foot. She’s a loner with a tough exterior, a bit of a curmudgeon with some formidable emotional barriers.

CHRISTOPHER - Male, 16 and under to play 11 or 12. Caucasian. Has recently lost his parents and finds himself in a challenging new situation with all the emotional complexity that comes with it. He wants to play the hero and can be aggressive, but under this there is real vulnerability.

YASUHIRO – Male, 40’s. A Japanese man who runs the lighthouse with Lily. There is a certain amount of mystery to him.

DOCTOR/SHERIFF - Male, 40's to 50's. Caucasian. Small town sheriff. Gruff and has a sense of his own importance. Has authority, but not a total alpha male.
