BREAKDOWN

CAST
BARTHOLOMEW KENNEDY – TBA
TONY KENNEDY – TBA
CHLOE - TBA
SEEKING THE FOLLOWING:
MAXWELL
40s-50s, Black, Male. Man of the house and primary breadwinner with a deep secret. He’s a functional alcoholic desperately trying to be the picture of masculinity even though he’s married to man. He is a man who builds walls until they all fall apart, and he has nothing to keep his life from spiraling out of control.

CHARLES
40s, White, Male. Maxwell's amiable trophy-husband. Perfectly vanilla. Motivated by keeping his picture of family perfect, but as pressures rise Charles has to sacrifice more and more of his dignity to keep up appearances.

ANTOINE
18, Black, Male. Fierce and genderfluid, madly in love with Tony but stifled by life in the closet. Speaks his mind and doesn’t care what anyone thinks.

SEEKING UNDERSTUDIES FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES

ONE MAN TO COVER:
BARTHOLOMEW (70s, Black, Male) On the heels of a terminal diagnosis, he is a witty and free of all sentimentality. He indulges in the humor a given moment, never letting on that this is in stark contrast to the amount of constant physical pain he endures. MAXWELL (see above)

ONE MAN TO COVER:
TONY (18, Black, Male) A rebellious teenager and a quintessential Gen-Z. A ball of hormones going all over the place and dealing with a fractured family. ANTOINE (see above)

ONE WOMAN TO COVER:
CHLOE (30s-40s, Asian American, Female) The no-nonsense and chatty caretaker of Bartholomew. Constantly the fly on the wall of a wildly dysfunctional family. She stands with a great degree of pride in her work and distant sympathy for the victims and perpetrators of a family full of toxic masculinity.

CHARLES (see above)
