NYC Appointment ONLY auditions to be held Tuesday September 10 Thursday September 12, 1pm to 3pm each day, at the Science and Industry Library, 188 Madison Avenue, NYC (Electronic Information Center in Library with assigned room number)

CONTRACT
Staged Reading Code $50 stipend; Subway fare for each Rehearsal and 1 Reading Performance

BREAKDOWN
WATCHING & LISTENING Sid is a lifetime New York Metropolitan baseball fan. His wife, Myrna hates baseball and the effect that it has on her husband. Desperate for support and understanding, Syd begins a conversation with the host of a New York Sports Radio station. What happens next is a magical adventure that takes Sid from his modest apartment in Queens to the NY METS broadcast booth in LA. His life will never be the same.
Seeking
Sid/Alfonso/ Ethan: 50's: Sid is searching for solace and an escape from a spouse who disapproves of his love of baseball

Myrna: 50's Married to Sid. Loves her husband but wants him to grow out of his childhood fantasies about baseball

Tony: 40’s Sports Radio Host. He has no patience for callers who don't get to the point immediately. Sees himself as an authority on baseball

Adrienne: 30’s A determined and die hard METS fan. She does not tolerate men who don't treat her as an equal

Gary/Howie: 50’s Gary is the ghost of Gary Carter. Howie is the radio announcer for the METS

Stage Directions and Announcer : Male or Female Race Neutral 40's. Commanding voice. VO experience a plus
Casting Notes:
Sid, Alfonso, Tony, Myrna, Adrienne speak with NY Boroughs Accents.
Ethan speaks with a patrician accent (similar to George Plimpton).
Gary and Howie speak with General American accents.
