PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:

If a reader is not accessible to you, you may perform a monologue in the style of the show. If you’re interested in auditioning for a role that is already cast, prepare the side from another role you feel is similar.

ROLES:

Sherlock Holmes - male, mid 30s-mid 40s, a classic Holmes with a sense of humor.

Sheila Watson - female, mid 30s, sister to Holmes’s partner, witty, observant, adventurous - THIS ROLE IS CAST.

Lestrade - male, 35-50, stuffy, stalwart, very English, Scotland Yard Inspector, a good heart without much imagination.

Track 1 - female, 50s-60s, plays Mrs. Hudson, Mrs. Grecco, and Mrs. Brown - THIS ROLE IS CAST.

Track 2 - male, 30s-50s, plays Music Hall Singer (classic 19th century singer), Stewart (matter of fact chap with a Scottish accent).

Track 3 - male, mid 30s-50s, plays Artemis (Effete, fastidious hotelier), The Confessor (filled with the panache of sadistic evil).

Track 4 - male, 50s, plays Gustav Von Schwanz, Murgatroyd Jr., and The Vendor - THIS ROLE IS CAST.

Track 5 - female, 40s-50s, plays Gerda Von Schwanz, Woman, Prostitute, and Posh Woman.

Track 6 - female, 25-35, plays Phyllis, Rosa, Poodle Woman, and Tibbens - THIS ROLE IS CAST.

Track 7 - male, 45-60, plays Buck Upton (Reverend from Texas), Rabbi Pincus Plotkin (a kind-hearted Rabbi), Lord Wyndbisquit (a twit of an aristocrat), and Cardinal Lorcan McHugh (an Irish man of the cloth).
