The play takes place in a rehabilitation hospital and deals with a group of men who return from a war and find themselves paralyzed. It focuses on the relationship between two friends, Ken and Taylor, and Ken’s fiancée Ellen. Both nondisabled and disabled actors encouraged to attend.
With the exception of the roles of Ellen, Dr. Du Brock, Taylor, and Jeremiah, actors, where noted, will be playing wheelchair basketball.
Important note: For the roles of Leo, Norman, and Angel, actively seeking actors with disabilities who use wheelchairs or are extremely proficient in using a wheelchair. Ken, Leo, Norman and Angel will need to play basketball using a manual wheelchair.
