CONTRACT

CAT CAT-N Phase 2;

$11/hr (13 rehearsal hours anticipated)

$95 for performance

SEEKING

Equity male, female, and gender non-conforming actors. See breakdown for details.

PREPARATION

We have specific sides to prepare, which will be available starting December 7th. Auditioners can obtain sides by emailing Jana Ross at jana@erasingthedistance.org or hard copies can be picked up from the Erasing the Distance office (same address as audition). General office hours are 10-5pm, M-Th.

BREAKDOWN

Note: All characters in this script are created from interviews with real people.

1 white man, early 20s; thoughtful, poetic, determined. This character has cerebellar speech as a result of a brain tumor, and actors who share this speaking style are especially encouraged to audition. If the actor does not have cerebellar speech, we will provide resources in the rehearsal process.

1 woman of any ethnicity, mid 20s; a graphic designer, activist and art therapist. Needs to be between 5'3-5'6. Intelligent and warm. A leader.

1 woman of Native or Native/white ethnicity, late teens/early 20s; darkly funny. A storyteller. Actors with service animals are especially encouraged to audition.

1 Asian American woman, late teens/early 20s; chatty, goofy, fierce when she needs to be.

1 white woman, early 20s; kind, independent, measured.
