1st Preview 11/29/13
Opening 12/4/13
Closing 1/5/14

BILL GATES – Male; 20s – 30s; the epitome of a nerd who eventually gains confidence and fame through his success; a ‘sex-starved genius;' excellent comic skills; tenor; must also be able to rap, as he sings the show-stopping “Windows Rap” at the end of Act I.

STEVE JOBS – Male; 20s – 30s; charismatic, attractive, sexy, smooth and confident with a comic flare and quirky edge (e.g., Noah Wyle, Ryan Gosling, etc.); thinks he’s a rock star; rests on his laurels and misses out on the chance for technological domination; rock tenor.

PAUL ALLEN – Male; 20s – 30s; Gates’ best friend and partner in crime; nerdy, intelligent, nervous; could be a goofy physical type; excellent comic skills; baritone.

STEVE WOZNIAK – Male; 20s- 30s; aka “The Woz”; Jobs' best friend and partner-in-crime; he can ‘see the future’ of computers and is the heart and soul of Team Apple; he and Jobs experiment with their computers in his Grandma’s garage; could be more of a character actor and great comedian (e.g., Jack Black); high tenor.

SALLY – Female; 20s – 30s; the cutest of the nerds; earnest, likable, fun-loving; she is the love interest of both Jobs (with whom she readily flirts) and Gates (whose name she can’t seem to remember); excellent comedian; strong singer with a high belt and strong mix voice.

MYRTLE – Female; 20s – 30s; can be extremely nerdy in one moment and unbelievably sexy in the next moment; lovable; wears headgear (through which she can pick up radio stations) and longs to go to the Checkmating Dance with Bill Gates; excellent comedian; strong singer with a belt/mix voice.

Ensemble:
WATSON (plays other characters) – Male; 40s – 50s; conservative, classic; he has a dry and wicked sense of humor (e.g., Christopher Walken); he is the villain that we love to hate; manipulative and conniving; excellent comic skills a plus; baritenor; also plays some other roles.

DUSTIN (plays other nerds)– Male; 20s – 30s; member of the Homebrew computer club and eventual henchman for Watson; versatile and funny; great singer and good mover; tenor. Also plays Tim Patterson, from whom Gates buys DOS for a few slices of pepperoni pizza, as well as some other roles.

HERBERT (plays other nerds) – Male; 20s – 30s; member of the Homebrew computer club and eventual henchman for Watson; nerdy, but funny; needs a comic actor with a great singing voice; good mover; baritenor or tenor.
