Equity actors of all ages, ethnicities, and genders for San Jose Stage Company's upcoming virtual production of Jane Austen's PERSUASION adapted by Jennifer Le Blanc.

BREAKDOWN

Sir Walter Elliot/ Admiral Croft: M 50s-60s. Sir Walter is baronet of Kellynch Hall, vain, extravagant, smug. Admiral Croft, brother-in-law of Captain Wentworth, is an amiable, no nonsense navy man.

Elizabeth Elliot/ Henrietta Musgrove: F Late 20s-30s. Elizabeth is the eldest Miss Elliot. Enjoys society, spending money, and vanity. Henrietta is the eldest Miss Musgrove, sister to Charles Musgrove. She is pretty and sweet.

Anne Elliot: F Late 20s-30s. Second Elliot daughter and our heroine. Intelligent, discerning, practical, and capable.

Mary Musgrove/ Mrs. Smith: F 20s-30s. Mary is the youngest Elliot daughter married to Charles Musgrove. Dramatic flair, hypochondriac. Mrs. Smith is a friend of Anne’s from school- very ill, very poor, very kind.

Charles Musgrove/ Captain Benwick: M 30s Charles is Mary’s husband, a country gentleman fond of shooting. Captain Benwick is a navy friend of Captain Wentworth, living in Lyme mourning the loss of his fiancée. Romantic, sad poet.

Lady Russell/ Mrs. Croft: F 40s-50s. Lady Russell Godmother to Anne. Kind, firm, sensible and with high regard for society. Mrs. Croft is the sister of Captain Wentworth. Amiable, spirited, jovial, adventurous and worldly.

Mrs. Clay/ Louisa Musgrove: F 20s- early 30s. A young widow, flatterer of Sir Walter and Elizabeth Elliot. Louisa Musgrove is a lovely, lively, curious and impetuous young woman. Youngest sister to Charles Mugrove.

Captain Frederick Wentworth: M 30s-40s. Naval officer previously engaged to Anne Elliot. Honorable, handsome, gregarious, gentlemanly, with lively good humor.

Captain Harville/ Mr. Elliot: M 30s-40s. Captain Harville is the wounded friend of Captain Wentworth living in Lyme. Generous and loving navy man. Mr. Elliot, nephew to Sir Walter and heir to Kellynch Hall. Charming widower, clever and financially secure.

Lady Dalrymple/ Mrs. Musgrove: F 50s-60s. Lady Dalrymple is a dowager viscontess of tremendous wealth and social rank. Distant relation to Sir Walter. Mrs. Musgrove is a charming, boisterous, unpretentious, country wife. Doting mother to Charles, Henrietta and Louisa Musgrove.
