BREAKDOWN
MOTHER SUPERIOR - (Female, 50s-60s, African American or Latinx): A powerful leader who uses her status to command attention and respect. The host of the fundraiser for the night, Mother Superior runs a tight ship at the Little Sisters of Hoboken. She leads with a grave, dry approach and is often funny without trying to be. Mother Superior possesses poise and self-confidence but is often apprehensive to relax in front of others. At the end of the day, her bark is worse than her bite. Actor should have exceptional comedic instincts and timing, be an excellent vocalist, and have strong movement skills (dance experience a plus). (Range: B3-F5)
