NOISES OFF by Michael Frayn

All ROLES OPEN

DOTTIE OTTLEY: Female 50’s. Forgetful. Dating Garry, though she attempts to make him jealous by meeting with Freddy. Plays the part of “Mrs. Clacket” A Cockney Housekeeper in Nothing On.

LLOYD DALLAS: Male. 50s. The director of Nothing On; authoritative, temperamental, harried, and sharp-tongued; involved in a love triangle that complicates both his work and personal life.

SELSDON MOWBRAY: Male. 60s-70s. An actor, alcoholic, and hard of hearing when it suits him. Rarely available when needed. Plays the part of “Burglar” in Nothing On.

FREDERICK FELLOWES: Male. 30s-40s. An actor. Nervous, not the brightest bulb, and constantly overcomplicating the direction he is given. Has an extreme aversion to violence and blood. Plays the part of “Philip Brent” in Nothing On.

BELINDA BLAIR: Female. 40s. An actress. Sensible, reliable, but a bit of a gossip. Thinks of herself as the glue that holds the company together. Plays the part of “Flavia Brent” in Nothing On.

GARRY LEJEUNE: Male. Mid 20s-30s. An actor. Does his best to keep company morale high, but is easily flustered. Jealous, and often loses his train of thought. Plays the part of “Roger Tramplemain” in Nothing On.

BROOKE ASHTON: Female. Mid 20s-30s. An actress. Beautiful. Oblivious to everyone and everything going on around her. In constant search of her contact lens. Plays the part of “Vicki” in Nothing On.

TIM ALLGOOD: Male. 20s. The company and stage manager of Nothing On. Overworked, sleep deprived, and generally exhausted.

POPPY NORTON-TAYLOR: Female. 20s. The Assistant Stage Manager of Nothing On. Desperately attempts to keep the show and company from falling apart. Emotional, overly sensitive and often on the verge of tears. Seeking an extremely strong comedic actress.
