BREAKDOWN
Actors Theatre is working on becoming an organization that is free from harassment and oppression and we seek to cast as expansively and diversely as possible.

In reference to the character descriptions below – we recognize that most characters are written on the binary and use he/him or she/her pronouns. We invite gender non-conforming, gender queer, transgender, non-binary actors to submit for the roles they most identify with. We are seeking all races and ethnicities. As an ADA compliant theatre, we welcome performers of all abilities and will make all reasonable accommodations in order to cast performers, regardless of disability, in any role possible
[ISABELLA/MISTRESS OVERDONE/AS CAST] (She/Her, 25-35, Any Ethnicity) Passionate, warm, spiritual, cares and loves deeply. Must have great ability and facility with the text. Singing and musical instruments a plus.

[DUKE/AS CAST] (He/Him, 30-40, Any Ethnicity) Warm, charismatic. A good leader but can sometimes be debilitated by his desire to be liked. Wants what is right and just to prevail. Learns to temper justice with mercy. Must have great ability and facility with the text. Singing and musical instruments a plus.

[CLAUDIO/POMPEY/AS CAST] (He/Him, 25-40, Any Ethnicity) A pimp at a whorehouse masking as a bartender. Has a pragmatic worldview that it's impossible to govern natural human carnal desire with laws in society.
