Four 20-somethings struggle to transition from college to a “real” life that is rarely spent outside the glare of the video game monitors in their Las Vegas basement. What they find is a world of grown-up relationships that require levels of intimacy far beyond the social shield of technology. When one member of the circle is recruited by the NSA (National Security Agency) to pilot remote missiles, he’s ill-equipped to handle the moral ambiguities raised in this thought-provoking and often humorous world premiere about a generation straddling the fuzzy line between reality and virtual reality.
Note: All the characters have just graduated from college.
ZAN:
(Early 20s) All American good looking with a lot of charisma and swagger. Used to getting his way, mostly on charm and good looks. But still young and hapless. Not quite as bright as the others.
CHUCK:
(Early 20s) Incredibly funny and likable. A little nerdy maybe. Sweet—always wants to keep the peace. Everyone likes him, he's everyone's buddy, but he usually doesn't get the girl. Please submit ALL ETHNICITIES.
IAN:
(Early 20s) Very nerdy very bright but young and naive. Not physically confident. Need an actor who can really go far emotionally. Spends most of his time in the basement and looks it.
JEANNIE:
(Early 20s) Sweet and pretty (A young Amy Adams) and very innocent. Zan’s girlfriend. She’s an excellent student, who wants to make a difference. As the play progresses she gets more into video games, and becomes conflicted about her relationship with Zan, as she becomes drawn towards Chuck.
