SEEKING
Equity Male Dancers for the ensemble. Full ensemble includes:
MALE ENSEMBLE/ANGELS
Characters are 20’s–30’s. These are the six drag performers from The Blue Angel Nightclub. Must be excellent dancers (required to dance in heels and in great physical shape. Terrific singers (with a contemporary pop/rock/R & B belt) Tumbling and acro skills a plus. Three Angels sing to C♯5 and three sing to A4.
MALE AND FEMALE ENSEMBLE
Characters are 20’s–50’s. The men and women of the ensemble must be excellent pop/rock singers. Females should be strong belters! They will play factory workers, pub patrons, etc Factory workers should look like real, everyday people and be able to move well.
PREPARATION
Please come ready to dance in dance attire with dance sneakers and character shoes. Men auditioning for “Angels’ should bring heels to dance in. Please also prepare 16 to 32 bars of a song from the show or in the style of the show in case asked to sing. Bring sheet music, in the correct key, as an accompanist will be provided. Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together. Note: No non Equity will be seen at these ECCs.
