BREAKDOWN
Synopsis: An adaptation of Franz Kafka's judicial satire The Trial. Joseph K. is arrested, but no one will tell him his crime. Thus begins a labyrinthine legal process equal parts hilarious and horrifying. A very dark comedy.
Seeking:
Joseph K:
Male 25 to 35 years. Any ethnicity. A lonely but successful banker. Joseph is a high-strung perfectionist whose self-righteousness gets him into trouble.
2 Male Ensemble:
Any age. Any ethnicity. Looking for two bold, quick-witted, grounded actors to play multiple characters. Opposite the lead actor, the play's four-person ensemble portrays the additional 23 characters (approx. five per actor).
