“Welcome to the opening night of The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. With an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines), everything that can go wrong does go wrong during this 1920s murder mystery play. Will these accident-prone performers beat the odds and make it to their final curtain call? Find out with this Olivier Award-winning comedy.”

Note from the Director: We are looking for first class comedians who are energetic, truthful, funny and adept at physical comedy. Must be able to play broad comedy artfully and believably. We are looking for actors with a keen understanding of the desperation and honesty needed to play the play within a play. Actors of all ethnicities strongly encouraged to audition for all roles.

ANNIE – Female-identifying, any ethnicity, 20s-40s. The company’s Stage Manager, who must step in and perform the role of Florence Colleymoore halfway through the show. Begins the play timid and afraid of the stage – but is willing to kill for it by the end. British accent.

TREVOR – Male-identifying, any ethnicity, 20s-40s. The company’s Lighting and Sound Operator. Begrudgingly a participant, he often breaks the fourth wall and interacts with the audience. Also forced to act in the play, much to his chagrin. British accent.

CHRIS BEAN – Male-identifying, any ethnicity, 20s-40s. The head of the Drama Society and Director of the murder mystery play. Takes himself, and the play, deadly serious. Uptight, overworked and frustrated by his fellow actors and the audience alike. Plays Inspector Carter, an esteemed local inspector, in “Murder at Haversham Manor”. British accent.

JONATHAN – Male-identifying, any ethnicity, 20s-40s. An actor. A bit bland but sees himself as a James Bond type. Plays Charles Haversham, deceased, in “Murder at Haversham Manor”. Despite being deceased, it is a highly physical role. British accent.

ROBERT – Male-identifying, any ethnicity, 20s-40s. An actor – and he aspires to be a great one. Never learns from his mistakes. There’s a power struggle between Robert and Chris to be president of the Cornley Poly Drama Society. Plays Thomas Colleymoore, Charles’ old school friend, in “Murder at Haversham Manor”. British accent.

DENNIS – Male-identifying, any ethnicity, 20s-50s. An actor. Really only participating for the social aspects of the theatre. Understands when things go wrong, despite being a bit oblivious at times. Plays Perkins, Charles’ butler, in “Murder at Haversham Manor”. British accent.

MAX – Male-identifying, any ethnicity, 20s-40s. An actor. Desperately seeking approval from the audience, he often breaks the fourth wall after getting a laugh. It’s his first performing in a play, and he has followed directions well up until this point. Plays Cecil Haversham, Charles’ brother, and Arthur, the gardener, in “Murder at Haversham Manor”. British accent.

SANDRA – Female-identifying, any ethnicity, 20s-40s. An actress with Hollywood ambitions. She will take out anyone who stands in her way. Smart, highly physical – and highly dramatic. Plays Florence Colleymoore, Charles’ fiancé and Thomas’ sister, in “Murder at Haversham Manor”. British accent.

“Played out under the bright lights of the U.S. Open Semifinals, The Last Match pits rising Russian star Sergei Sergeyev against American great Tim Porter in an epic showdown that follows two tennis titans through pivotal moments in their lives both on-and-off the court. This gripping, fast-paced story captures the intense world of competitive sports, and human rivalry, and what it means to want something — and the lengths we will go to in order to feel relevant, important, and young.”

TIM – Male-identifying, any ethnicity. 33 years old. A professional tennis player striving to stay at the top of his game amid rumors of oncoming retirement. Charismatic and charming, though strong-willed and passionate, his desire to be the best pushes him to victory while also pulling him away from what matters most.

SERGEI – Male-identifying. Mid to late 20s. An up-and-coming Russian tennis star who has faced the odds to make it to the top. He is very skilled and very competitive while maintaining a calm and focused exterior. But often his painful past catches up to him, and he can’t help wishing for more.

GALINA – Female-identifying. Mid to late 20s. Sergei’s girlfriend with more refined tastes. Also Russian. She has a tough and often presumptuous exterior with a heartfelt affection for Sergei. As his biggest motivator, she pushes him to be the best at his game while reminding him that she is the best at hers.

MALLORY – Female-identifying, any ethnicity. Mid 30s. Tim’s wife, and former tennis player-turned coach. She is Tim’s equal, and then some. A rather witty voice of reason, she reminds Tim to stay grounded as she battles the toughest opponent she’s ever faced.

“Leigh and Lee are two strangers who have little in common besides their names—she is a Type A statistician and he is an aggressive former athlete. But the discovery of a mysterious suicide note in a hotel bathroom sets their lives on unexpected paths that go anywhere but according to plan. Paralyzed tells a striking story of guilt, personal responsibility, and the power of forgiveness.”
