BREAKDOWN

CASEY: Female, 30s. Daring, bold, and delightfully controversial. All as a defense mechanism hiding someone who is truly caring and understanding.

AARON: Male, 30s. New Yorker. Jewish investment banker. He has never been on a blind date before. Out of his element, nervous, and trying way too hard.

MAN 1: Male, 30s. Includes, among others: Gabe: Aaron’s best friend since childhood. Bro-dude and a bit of a womanizer. Thinks he knows everything there is to know about dating. Stoner Guy: A “bad boy” from Casey’s past who always has some weed on hand and is more interested in his next hit than who that hit is with.

MAN 2: Male, 30s. Includes, among others: Reggie: Casey's fabulous, overprotective and over-imaginative friend. Easily sent into a tailspin of jealousy, paranoia, and drama when not kept 100% in the loop. British Actor: A ‘bad boy’ from Casey’s past. Cocky, neglectful and self-involved, he’s more interested in himself than anybody else.

MAN 3: Male, 40s. Includes, among others: Waiter: A career waiter, who dabbles with songwriting and performing on the side. A romantic, he does everything he can to foster a romantic atmosphere so everyone in the restaurant can make their love connection because, deep down, all he wants is to fall in love himself. Casey’s Christian Father: A stereotype super-Christian, praising the Easter Bunny and denouncing Judaism.

WOMAN 1: Female, 30s. Includes, among others: Lauren: Casey’s sister. Happily married to her successful husband and is constantly trying to fix Casey (i.e., make Casey more like her) so that Casey can find her own husband. Believes her advice is impeccable. Grandma Ida: Aaron's dead grandmother, who feels strongly that her son should marry a Jewish woman.

WOMAN 2: Female, 30s. Includes, among others: Allison: Aaron's ex-fiancé. Gorgeous, sexy, uptight, conservative, controlling, manipulative. A good relationship for her is one where the guy follows her every direction without question or hesitation.
