MARVIN
Caucasian Male, 30s. Jewish, a husband and father. Smart, funny, charming. Newly involved with Whizzer but trying to maintain a family unit with his son and ex-wife. High baritone.
WHIZZER
Male, 20s-30s, any ethnicity. Extremely handsome. Athletic, confident and can be self-absorbed while still charming. Involved with Marvin in a rocky relationship. Tenor.
TRINA
Caucasian Female, 30s. Jewish, divorced from Marvin. Trying to reconcile new life after divorce; consults Mendel, with whom she falls in love and marries. Soprano/belt.
MENDEL
Caucasian Male, 30s-40s. Jewish, Marvin's psychiatrist. Falls in love with and marries Trina. High baritone.
JASON
Caucasian Male, 10-13. Marvin and Trina's son. Smarter than most his age and ambivalent about his upcoming Bar Mitzvah. The tumult in his family life has left him confused and angry. Tenor.
CHARLOTTE
Female 30s-40s, any ethnicity. Doctor who lives next door to Marvin. Very much in love with her partner Cordelia. Is alarmed by a new mysterious illness killing her gay male patients. Alto/Mezzo.
CORDELIA
Female 20s-40s, any ethnicity. Charlotte's partner. Runs a catering business and is very much in love with Charlotte. Wants to do something good for the world. High belt.
