Seeking:

EDDIE:
Role CAST. Female. Ability/energy to play young boy through early 40s. Guitarist of the band. Naturally sweet natured and clinically shy, Eddie has the abstract weirdness of a musical genius. Full of repressed rage later in life. CAST. (portrayed by a female/female identified actor)

DAVE:
Role CAST. Female. Ability/energy to play young boy through early 40s. Lead singer of the band. Clinically extroverted and highly verbal, Dave is a charismatic front man with a keen show-biz sensibility. He harbors deep seated jealousy toward Eddie's musicianship and does everything he can to make up for his musical limitations. A self-claimed lone wolf, yet he desperately wants to be in this band. CAST. (portrayed by a female/female identified actor)

ALEX:
Female. Ability/energy to play young boy through early 40s. Drummer of the band. Protective older brother of EDDIE. Grounded, tough, shrewd, smart, with a sly sense of humor. Business minded, he is always watching and strategizing. He loves his virtuosic brother unconditionally but also harbors deep-seated jealousy towards him. Struggles with addiction throughout the play. (portrayed by a female/female identified actor)

MTV-VJ:
Female or Male. Ability to play buoyant 20s through a world weary late 40s. Charismatic, smart, seductive, our master of ceremonies. Moves back and forth between jubilant youth, and the worldliness and displacement of a music aficionado and formerly “cool” person. Aching to feel alive again. Wants to understand themselves and find clarity in their past and make amends with the present. Need to have expert facility w/ language and ability to transform to play multiple characters.

VALERIE:
Male. Ability to play early 20s through late 30s. Warm, cute, caring, earnest and a bit wide-eyed, yet practical. Quintessential 70s sit-com star with that girl-next-door charm. Great smile. Must have great chemistry with actor playing EDDIE-- they are deeply in love. (portrayed by a male/male identified actor)
