When an anonymous benefactor sends Jerusha Abbott to a prestigious college she embarks on an enlightening journey. As revealed throughher vivid letters, Jerusha overcomes her difficult past to fall in love and discover the secret of happiness. Seeking strong actors for: Jerusha Female, early to mid 20s. A poor girl, brought up in an orphanage with an internal glow. A clever, original thinker; wise beyond her years. Very adept at comedy. Killer alto/mezzo with a pop sensibility. Jervis Male, mid-30s. An East Coast aristocrat; extremely charming, likable and funny. Tall and good looking with a constant smile in the corner of his eyes.
