Small guy with a big ego. A very gifted Jewish songwriter. Nerdy, off-beat, and ego-driven. If actor plays piano, that is a plus, but please submit any appropriate actor. Great rock singing voice. PRINCIPAL FATMAN FREDDIE Male, 20s, Caucasian. Jessie’s writing partner. Jessie describes him as “a white guy with the soul of a black guy.” Comic skills a plus. Great rock/r&b singing voice. PRINCIPAL STAN Male, 47, Caucasian. From the heyday of Tin Pan Alley. Shy and quiet, and doesn’t easily relate to the songwriters around him. Must sing well. PRINCIPAL CHERYL Female, 20’s, African-American. A secretary and Fatman Freddy’s girlfriend. Full of personality and spunk – think of a young Loretta Devine. Great singer.
