BREAKDOWN

Bliss is an original pop/rock musical fantasy that flips the traditional princess narrative upside down. Hidden away for years by an overprotective father, four wildly distinctive and lovably awkward princesses dream of the world beyond the castle walls. At last they escape and they find adventures beyond their wildest imaginations—and a world that judges them based on appearance. Now they must each decide what is worth sacrificing for a happily ever after.
Seeking AEA comic actor/singers of ALL ETHNICITIES for the following roles:

PRINCE DEVIN; 20’s; The prince of the Kingdom of Mirrors. A comic take on the classic teen idol/pop heartthrob. Extremely good looking but narcissistic and egocentric. Vain and superficial-a peacock who's caught up in his own fame. Smart but trapped by the expectations of his royal position. Pop tenor (low Eb to high Ab). Should be able to dance.

PRINCESS TAFFETA: 40’s-60; The headmistress of Heatherfields, a finishing school for transforming ordinary girls” into perfect princesses” so they can find their happily ever afters. A perfectly preserved storybook princess with the innocence of a child and a bright, optimistic personality. Has stayed physically perfect by magical means for decades, but will ultimately turn back into a brassy middle aged woman with a lifetime of pent up feelings. Pretty bright soprano (low Bb to high F) (As her transformed persona-a big rock belt) with a keen comic sense.
