Presented in the Albert Ivar Goodman Theatre for the 2017/2018 season

GEORGE SHULTZ, 65 years old. A charismatic leading man; refined; stately; patrician. Secretary of State during the Reagan administration. A product of the Ivy League, he was a prep school boy who has grown up in privileged circles and predictably holds a position of power. He has a moralistic and upstanding air about him, but also a wit and sense of humor.

EDUARD SHEVARDNADZE, 57 years old. The Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Soviet Union under Gorbachev. He is a powerful presence; overbearing with a bit of a reckless streak. He almost seems to grow as he intimidates his opponents. A Soviet strong man with street smarts who stands in contrast to the bookish intelligence of George Shultz. Looking for actors with strong Russian dialects.

RAISA GORBACHEV, 53 years old. The wife of Mikhail Gorbachev. She is an intellectual and a bit of a snob. She is poised, has an upper class air and is full of pride for her country. She is very aware of fashion and appearances, revealing a self-obsession bordering on narcissism. Looking for actors with strong Russian dialects.
