DR ANDERSON: a white man late 40’s early 50’s physician to SHELAH

SPENCER: a man of color 32 son to SHELAH

COOKIE: a woman of color late 20’s Step daughter to SHELAH

Available roles in One Man, Two Guvnors
All roles require terrific comedians and actors who are well suited to dialect work from several regions of the UK. Seeking all ethnicities. Actors must be able to carry a tune and the women should have good voices.

Francis Henshall: this role is cast

Stanley Stubbers: Mid to late 20’s. English equivalent of east coast prep school boy. Privileged privately educated and has no awareness of how priveledged he is. Handsome.

Rachel Crabbe: Female, Mid 20’s. Great physical actor with strong comic instincts and a great sense of playfulness. At ease inhabiting men’s clothing (Ringo Starr). Knows what she wants and how to get it. From London. Sings.

Harry Dangle: Late 50’s-Early-Mid 60’s. Crooked Solicitor (Lawyer) From Rottingdean looking to sound higher brow then he really is. Partner in a shady law firm. Sings.

Alan Dangle: Harry’s son. 20’s-30’s. Actor. In love with Pauline. Dramatic, Dramatic ACTOR. Need I say more?

Lloyd Boateng: London/Jamaican Late 40’s to 50’s. Friend to Clench. Charismatic, working class with an air of charm. Loyal. Warm.

Charlie “The Duck” Clench: 50’s. Pantalone character and as such controls the money in the play. Father to Pauline. Runs a Scrap Metal company which he lives above. Not used to being disobeyed.

Pauline Clench: Charlie’s daughter. (Clarice character or inamorata in Commedia). Was engaged to Roscoe who died but now engaged and in love with Alan Dangle. As one of the lovers, she tends to be a bit “Over-Dramatic”. Full of life. It’s good when it’s good and bad when it’s bad! Must Sing.

Dolly: 30’s40’s. Brassy. A match for Francis. Is the bookkeeper, but keeps the world spinning in the right direction. Must sing.

Gareth:Support waiter. Younger the Alfie but not a YOUNG man. 40’s would be ideal.

Alfie: Younger but made-up to look extremely OLD. GREAT physical comedien. No Fear. Must be able, willing and ready to do several pratt falls and engage in extremely difficult, choreographed physical comedy.
