Male; 28-32; handsome and charming attorney; newlywed; fastidious in an uptight way; stubborn and protective with old world morals and ethics; actor must be able to let go when his character gets drunk.
Female; late 40s-early 50s; Corie’s mother; timid suburban widow who exudes the bristly, defensive caution of a fading beauty who avoids men; a bit frumpy in need of a makeover; feels her life has been lived already and she is waiting to live her daughter’s life; over protective; a bit old-fashioned.
Male; mid 50s-early 60s; the Bratter’s upstairs neighbor; a wonderful free spirit who does not even give a thought to where his next meal is coming from; eccentric and loveable; charming and intelligent; not a beatnik but a Bohemian who is worldly and wise and knows how to live in the moment; “The Bluebeard of 48th Street”.
