SEEKING
Adventurous actors game for experimental work and drag performance in this staging of new play Autoportrait, part of a residency with the Leslie-Lohman Museum and Dixon Place's HOT! Festival. Particularly interested in queer, trans* and gender nonconforming performers of all ethnicities and range of abilities.

Drag Queen/Others:
Any gender expression, 18-40
A drag queen who is learning to lie as well as her enemies do. Must be very comfortable with heightened/dense language, and should be a natural storyteller.
Condoleezza Rice/Others:
Black woman, 18-40
Condoleezza Rice, as seen during her testimony in front of the 9/11 Commission. Interested in compelling portrayals of Dr. Rice ranging from dead-on impersonation to creative interpretation. High ability with dense language and game for experimental work. Will also play a few other minor roles.
Donald Rumsfeld/Others:
Any gender expression, 18-40
Actor to play a variety of roles including Donald Rumsfeld (could be dead-on impersonation or creative interpretation). High ability with dense language and game for experimental work.
Nancy Reagan/Others:
Any gender expression, 18-40
Several roles including Nancy Reagan, a congressperson grilling Bush Administration officials during the 9/11 Commission, and others. Must be comfortable with complex language.
Freddy Herko/Others:
Any gender expression, 18-40
Several roles including Freddy Herko, a dancer from the East Village queer arts scene in the early 60s, whose infamous "suicide performance" has become legend. He was a muse to Andy Warhol, among others. Comfortable with complex language and ideally a dancer or physically expressive performer.
