When the patriarch of the Weston family vanishes one hot summer night, the acid-tongued, pill-popping mother summons her grown daughters and their families to reunite at the Oklahoma homestead. Dinner is served, lies are told, and long-held family secrets are unflinchingly revealed. Tracy Letts’s comic-tragedy exposes the emotional destruction that rips through generations if nothing stops its path.

Still seeking the following only. Please submit only if you are an AEA Member who is right for this role, and only if you are free to work throughout the contract dates (see above):

Violet Weston:
Woman, 60-70. Matriarch of the Weston family. Addicted to several prescription drugs, mostly depressants and narcotics. After an ugly rant at Beverly's funeral dinner, the family's focus shifts to keeping Violet clean. Despite her drug-induced episodes, she is sharp-tongued and shrewd; she is aware of the family's many secrets, and not hesitant to reveal them for her own benefit.
