ANNIE:
Female, 11 years old. Any ethnicity. Optimistic, spunky, and wise beyond her years. She has a deep seeded longing to find her birth parents and will stop at nothing to accomplish that goal. She has a heart of gold, despite her share of mischievous situations. Any and every girl can relate to her in some way. She is honest, forthright and has a magnetic personality. Must have an excellent singing range, great comedic timing, and excellent dance skills. PRINCIPAL.
MISS HANNIGAN
(40s-50s): Any ethnicity. Ill-tempered orphanage director. Brazen and pessimistic. A flirt. Brassy singer. PRINCIPAL.
OLIVER WARBUCKS
(40s-50s): Any ethnicity. The richest man in the world. Warm-hearted. Stiff collared. Strong singer who moves well. PRINCIPAL.
GRACE FARRELL
(30s): Any ethnicity. Oliver Warbucks’s secretary. A class act, efficient and attractive. Must move well. Warm, soprano sound. PRINCIPAL.
ROOSTER
(30s-40s): Any ethnicity. Miss Hannigan's no-good brother. A character actor with swagger and comedic chops, perhaps a magician or a pick-pocket. Slick. Strong dancer. Tenor to a high G. PRINCIPAL.
LILY ST. REGIS
(20s-30s) Any ethnicity. Rooster’s girlfriend, who is also out for a quick buck. She is considered to be a floozy and a bimbo. Soprano. PRINCIPAL.
