Alan Deluca
: (baritone – excellent dancer) Male. From the Bronx. Very straight. Street tough, macho, newly married to Kristine.

BeBe Benzenheimer
: (alto – excellent dancer) Female. From Boston. Very insecure about her looks, very funny which is a cover for her insecurities. Feels a little excluded but just wants to be liked.

Bobby Mills
: (baritone – excellent dancer) Male. Flamboyant, funny, bitchy and witty. Very sharp tongued. Covers everything over with a joke, had a very hard childhood. From upstate New York.

Cassie Ferguson
: (soprano – excellent dancer)Female. Older Dancer. Returning to the chorus after years of being a featured performer. Very strong dancer. Shy & kind hearted. Previously had a relationship with Zach.

Connie Wong
: (alto – excellent dancer)Female. SHORT. Married. A bit of a mother hen with a great sense of humor. Born in Chinatown, Lower East Side, New York.

Diana Morales: (alto – excellent dancer)Female. Streetwise, a little bit tough, eternal optimist and starry eyed. A determined athletic dancer from the Bronx.
Don Kerr: (baritone – excellent dancer)Male. Ladies man, married, into cars, money, and women. Hedonist, cool, flirts with Maggie, very sure of himself. All American guy, Cocky, worked with Zach before. From Kansas City.
Gregory Gardener: (baritone – excellent dancer)Male. Over sexed, over drugged, done it all before. Gay. Very conscious of how he looks and appears to others. Quite a smart--?alec and has worked with Zach before. Very East Side New York.
Judy Turner: (mezzo – excellent dancer)Female. Funny, gawky, nervous, scatterbrain. Warm and hopeful. Very awkward except when dancing.
KristineUrich: (mezzo – excellent dancer) Female. Wide--?eyed, naive. Very nervous when not dancing. Married to Al.
Maggie Winslow: (mezzo/soprano – excellent dancer)Female. A sweetheart, little sister type. Dreamer. Fairly experienced dancer from California.
Mark Anthony: (tenor – excellent dancer)Male. Optimistic, first timer, naïve but charming. Great dancer and All-American kid. Hopeful and fresh, obsessed with sex. Very young from Arizona.
Mike Costa: (tenor – 19 to 29 – excellent dancer)Male. Quite aggressive, determined, cocky, sure of himself BUT likeable. Tap dancer who worked with Zach before. Experienced and flirts with the girls. From New Jersey.
Paul San Marco: (baritone – excellent dancer)Male. Introverted and slightly insecure but loves performing --?is only now starting to feel comfortable about being gay and accepted by his parents. From Spanish Harlem, New York. Friends with Diana.
Richie Walter: (tenor – excellent dancer)Male. From Missouri. African--?American, strong dancer, enthusiastic, cool and funny. Very likeable and laid back.
Sheila Bryant: (alto - excellent dancer)Female. Oldest dancer on the line. Brassy, sexy, bitchy and sophisticated. One of the more popular dancers, very funny.
Valerie Clark: (alto/mezzo – excellent dancer)Female. Sexy, sassy, funny & foul --?mouthed. A brazen, direct, attention seeker from Vermont.
Cut Dancers:Males and Females 18--?35 will understudy and sing throughout the show.

PLEASE NOTE:Dreamgirls is co-production with Maine State Music Theatre. While it is ideal to be available for BOTH productions it does not guarentee you will be cast in both productions based on outlying factors including housing & casting needs.

Effie Melody White,(Belt – 20 to 30 – strong mover) A vibrant young African American woman who is as oversized in talent as she is in person. She is the true powerhouse in a group called The Dreams. Has a romantic interest in Curtis but it is not mutual. She should be full-figured, and her size carries with it a true sense of sexuality.
Lorrell Robinson– (Soprano Belt – 20 to 30 – strong mover)A young sexy, flirtatious African American woman. She is the third member of The Dreams, and has been singing with her best friends Effie and Deena for years. Carries on an affair with Jimmy Early, who refuses to leave his wife for her.
Deena Jones,(Mezzo Belt – 18 to 27 – strong mover)Young, thin, beautiful African American woman. A member of The Dreams, she is happy to sing backup to Effie until Curtis puts her in the lead and grooms her as star of the group. Marries Curtis.
Curtis Taylor Jr, (tenor – 25 to 40 – Move well) A handsome, sexy and charismatic car salesman who become The Dreams manager. Extremely ambitious. Marries Deena.
James “Thunder” Early(tenor –30 to 40 – move well) James Brown-like R & B star. The Dreamettes become his backup singers. Has an affair with Lorrell. Charismatic, sexy, high energy.
C.C. White(tenor –20 to 30 – move well) A young African American man who is Effie’s songwriter brother; writes all the dreams hit songs. Endearing and soft-spoken, he tries to do what’s best but slowly gives up his ideals to Curtis’ controlling vision. High baritone. Must move well.
Michelle Morris– (Soprano Belt – 20’s – strong mover) Young, thin, beautiful African American woman. Effie’s replacement in The Dreams. Sings bottom in the harmonies.
Marty(baritone – 30 to 40 – move well) African American man, street savvy, long-time manager who oversaw Jimmy’s career and rise to R & B stardom. Later oversees Effie’s comeback.
1 Caucasian Man & 2 Caucasian Women- Strong singers who move well to play Dave and The Sweethearts (Pat Boone singer and his backup girls who sing the all American pop version of “Cadillac Car”. Will play other ensemble roles such as reporters, press agents, etc.
1 Caucasian Man– Strong singer, character actor to play Frank, the press agent and various supporting roles. Must move well.
Ensemble of male and female: (African American/Multicultural/Caucasian) singer/dancers to play various supporting roles: must be strong singers and move very well. Wayne and Tiny Joe Dixon will be cast from this ensemble.

FultonTheatre’s stage management staffing needs have been fulfilled for the 2010-2010season.
