26 Miles, by Quiara Alegría Hudes

SEEKING:

[OLIVIA] Female, 18+ to play 15, white-passing Latina. Quirky, intelligent, independent but lonely. Olivia was primarily raised by her father after she chose him during her parents' divorce. She tries to understand the world through writing but has become unmoored by the trials and tribulations of adolescence.

[BEATRIZ] Female, 40s, non-white Latina (Cuban). A firecracker, protective but often overbearing. Doubles as Janet.

[AARON] Male, 40s, White. Olivia’s dad and Beatriz’s ex-husband. Aaron is a loving father but has grown distant and apathetic since marrying his new wife. Doubles as Joe, attendant, and Reader 2.

[MANUEL] Male, 40s, Latino. Manuel is Beatriz’s intellectually curious boyfriend who has trouble taking responsibility for himself. Doubles as Tamál seller, Uemura, and Reader 1.
