The Berman Announces High School Auditions for A CHORUS LINE

Calling all performers ages 13 - 18 - The JCC's PAIJ Players are holding auditions for A Chorus Line: High School Edition on March 11 (1 pm - 4 pm), March 13 (6 pm - 9 pm) and March 15 (6 pm - 9 pm) at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts.

A Chorus Line - High School Edition is a full-length version of the landmark musical, adapted for performance by high school students with family audiences. Every aspect of the show has been developed specifically for high school performers: dialogue and content are age-appropriate, dance sequences are of a length befitting high school dancers, and allowances are made to feature actors of any race or ethnicity.

Auditions are open to performers ages 13 - 18. They will work with the professional staff of The Berman. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in March and will grow in frequency as the show gets closer to opening. The rehearsal schedule will be available for review at auditions. The performances are June 2 at 8 pm and June 3 at 2 pm. All actors are required to be present at the technical rehearsals and performances. There is a registration fee of $155/person to participate in the PAIJ players shows and includes all show fees.

PREPARE: Teens should prepare a 1 minute monologue and 16 bars of a musical theatre song. Come dressed comfortably, as dancing is part of the audition process.
