Potted Potter, the hit Harry Potter parody, returns to the City Theatre for a limited engagement of nine performances, Tuesday, April 28 through Sunday, May 3. Potted Potter is perfect for ages six to Dumbledore (who is very old indeed).

Tickets ($42.50 and $52.50) go on sale Saturday, February 21 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, The Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. To charge tickets by phone, call (800) 745-3000. For additional information, call (313) 471-6611. Groups of 10 or more receive a discount on select shows by calling 313-471-3099.

A critic's pick by The New York Times, New York Magazine, Boston Globe, Chicago Daily Herald and Time Out London, Potted Potter takes on the ultimate challenge of condensing, or "potting," all seven Harry Potter books into 75 madcap minutes, aided by multiple costume changes, brilliant songs, ridiculous props and a generous helping of Hogwarts magic. The two former BBC hosts also invite audiences to engage in a real-life game of Quidditch, played according to Clarkson and Turner's unique (and definitely not canon) set of rules.

Starvox Entertainment and Potted Productions introduced the hilarious show to North American audiences with a record-breaking run at Toronto's Panasonic Theatre. Since that time, Potted Potter has played a hit, off-Broadway run at the Shubert Theatre (twice!) and is now on its' third North American tour. This Monty Python-esque show has also sold out theatres across London, Edinburgh, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Dubai.

Whether you camped outside a bookstore for three days awaiting the release of the Deathly Hallows, or you don't know the difference between a horcrux and a Hufflepuff, the comedy, magic and mayhem of Potted Potter makes for a fun, and funny, visit to the theatre.
