POPCORN FALLS, Directed By Tony Winner Christian Borle, Returns To Marine City

Two-time Tony Award-winning actor Christian Borle directs James Hindman's small-town comedy Popcorn Falls, which returns to the Riverbank Theatre in Marine City, Michigan for four benefit performances May 24-27. All proceeds will go to Riverbank Stage Festival & Performing Arts Academy.

Popcorn Falls previously ran at the Riverbank in August 2017, and was presented in a developmental reading in NYC, sponsored by the Transport Group, in March, 2018.

Hindman, a Broadway actor who has appeared in Mary Poppins, The Scarlet Pimpernel, 1776, and City of Angels, stars in his play about a small American town whose only tourist draw-its namesake waterfall-dries up, leaving the community bankrupt.
Hindman is joined in the production by Tom Souhrada (Mary Poppins, Kinky Boots).

Borle is a Tony Award winner for his work in Peter and the Starcatcher and Something Rotten! He was Tony-nominated for his work in Legally Blonde and Falsettos.

The creative team for Popcorn Falls also includes Jeffrey Lodin (original music) and Joseph LaCorte (costumes).

Tickets are $28, and can be purchased by visiting riverbanktheatre.com.
