Join the HAMILTUNES Public Sing-Along With Mosaic Youth Theatre In coordination with Mosaic Youth Theatre and Mid Town Detroit, Inc, Broadway In Detroit will celebrate the start of its exciting 2018-19 season with a special event - "HAMILTUNES." This public sing-along will be held on Friday, September 21 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. in New Center Park, located at 2998 West Grand Boulevard, in Detroit, directly across from the Fisher Theatre.

This free one-night-only event will celebrate HAMILTON coming to the Fisher Theatre, March 12 - April 21, 2019. It will be a karaoke format for everyone to sing-along to songs from HAMILTON.

Mosaic Youth Theatre performers will open the event and lead the sing-along with members of the public who can sign up now to perform on stage at http://hamiltunesdetroit.eventbrite.com.

"We are very excited to partner with Broadway In Detroit for this amazing HAMILTUNES opportunity," states Stefanie Worth, Executive Director of Mosaic Youth Theatre. "The event also gives us an opportunity to publicly announce our special fundraiser night at HAMILTON on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Fisher Theatre."

Gates to New Center Park will open at 6 p.m. and seating is first come - first served. The public is encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and plan accordingly for weather.

HAMILTON, will play its premiere Detroit engagement and anchor the 2018-19 Broadway In Detroit Subscription Season. HAMILTON is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation's first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now. With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.
