Mid-Michigan's newest professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam in downtown Williamston, is thrilled to announce the World Premiere of It Came From Mars by Joseph Zettelmaier. Tickets for this outrageous out-of-this-world comedy are now on sale.
This Limited Engagement of It Came From Mars begins with a special Wednesday Preview at eight o'clock March 31. The Official Opening Night is Thursday, April 1 with the show scheduled to run through Sunday, April 18. Performances will run Thursday and Friday evenings at eight o'clock, Saturday matinees at three o'clock and evenings at eight o'clock, and Sunday matinees at two o'clock. Please note there will be no performances on Sunday, April 4.

October, 1938. The members of Farlowe's Mystery Theatre Hour are in rehearsal for their weekly radio show when they hear an alarming announcement come over the radio - Martians have landed! Honesty and hilarity ensue when the dramatic dramatists are faced with true drama. Written by Michigan playwright Joseph Zettelmaier, It Came From Mars is a co-production with the Performance Network in Ann Arbor. Please be aware this show does contain adult language/themes.

The cast consists of Joseph Albright (Every Christmas Story Ever Told!!, Guys on Ice), Sandra Birch (Maidens, Mothers and Crones), Morgan Chard, Jacob Hodgson, Alysia Kolascz and Wayne David Parker (Talley's Folly). Tony Caselli is the Director. The production team includes set by Janine Woods Thoma, lights by Daniel C. Walker (The Smell of the Kill), costumes by Sally L. Converse-Doucette (Hate Mail), sound by Will Myers and props by Charles Sutherland. The Stage Manager is Rochelle P. Clark.

Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can for Wednesday, March 31. Remaining tickets prices are $24.00 on Friday and Saturday evenings, $20.00 on weekend matinees and $18.00 on Thursday evenings. Discounted rates are available for groups of 10 or more for most performances. Tickets can be ordered by calling (517) 655-SHOW (7469), Monday - Friday from 12 - 6pm. Williamston Theatre patrons will find ample parking on the street and in several municipal lots throughout the city. The theatre is located in downtown Williamston (exit 117 off of I-96) just south of Grand River Avenue.

It Came From Mars is supported in part by the Arts Council of Greater Lansing and is the recipient of an Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award.

The Williamston Theatre is a not-for-profit, professional live theatre company, dedicated to producing plays that excite, engage and entertain our audiences. The theatre opened its doors in 2006 and has received a number of local awards including the 2008 Robert Busby Award for extraordinary overall contribution to theatre in the Greater Lansing Area.
