Go Comedy! Improv Theater invites you to pull up a barrel and crack open some booze when the original comedy HOBO takes the Go Comedy! stage February 4th for a two month run at 9pm on Thursday nights. HOBO joins Kim Carney's Opal at 8pm and Dial R for Radio Drama at 10pm in the Go Comedy! Thursday night line-up. Tickets ($10) are now available online at www.gocomedy.net, by calling 248-327-0575,or in person at the Go Comedy! box office. A complete Thursday night schedule follows.

HOBO finds Mike Walsh at a point where he is tired of his job, his life, and the people around him. Just then he meets Chester, a Hobo who opens Mike's eyes to the world of hobo freedom. This hilarious one act play asks if it's better to go about the daily grind, or to chase after your dreams and true freedom. HOBO is an original comedy written by native Detroiter & improviser Tim Robinson and features Go Comedy! company members Garrett Fuller (Garden City), Bryan Lark (Ferndale), Steve Forbes (Ferndale), Andrew French (Ferndale), and Suzie Jacokes (Ferndale) with Woody Carter (St. Clair Shores) and Jon Ager (Bloomfield Hills). The show is directed by Tommy and Michelle LeRoy of Ferndale and will run through Thursday, March 25.

The original one-act play, The Opal Show written by Michigan writer Kim Carney and directed by Shannon Ferrante, will appear at Go Comedy! Thursday nights at 8:00pm February 4 - 25. Dollar Store employee Opal doesn't have a life, she has television. Straight home from work, dinner in front of "Access Hollywood" at 7, "Jeopardy" at 7:30...her routine is set. Until an unexpected fumigation disrupts her schedule and she entertains herself with Vito Funzi, a stranger in "waste management." But life's not TV - or HBO - and the show Opal creates for her and Vito becomes a very special episode before she can take a commercial break. The Opal Show features Sarah Switanowski (Chelsea) and Bryan Lark (Ferndale) and originally premiered in the 2009 Box Fest at Detroit's Furniture Factory. The Opal Show plays at Go Comedy! through February 25.

The Go Comedy! original improvised show Dial R for Radio Drama closes out Thursday evenings in February at 10:00pm. Created and directed by Michelle LeRoy of Ferndale, Dial R for Radio Drama takes you on the adventure of a detective radio show cast and what happens when they've been working together for too long. You'll be treated to a live radio show every night... but what happens behind the scenes during that radio show remains to be seen. This 30-minute improvised show features Go Comedy! company members Jen Hansen (Madison Heights), Julia Garlotte (Chelsea), and Jeremy Conn (Westland) with Michelle Giorlando (Royal Oak), and Michael Brian Ogden (Berkely).
