Cast Announced For Sauk's CEMETERY CLUB

The cast has been selected and rehearsals are underway for The Sauk's upcoming production of "The Cemetery Club." Performances are September 9-12.

Three Jewish widows meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands' graves. Ida is sweet tempered and ready to begin a new life; Lucille is a feisty embodiment of the girl who just wants to have fun; and Doris is priggish and judgmental, particularly when Sam the butcher enters the scene. He meets the widows while visiting his wife's grave. Doris and Lucille squash the budding romance between Sam and Ida. They are guilt-stricken when this nearly breaks Ida's heart.

The cast of Sauk veterans consists of Sandi Miller as Ida, Loren Corbin as Lucille, Anne Conners as Doris, Tom Corbin as Sam and Carol Trevino as Mildren. The production is directed by Angela Forant with stage management by Allison Cleveland. The design team consists of Trinity Bird (sets), Mari Nuñez (lighting), Patricia Spence (costumes) and Travis Blatchley (props).

Performances are at 8 p.m. September 9-11 and at 3 p.m. on September 12 at the Sauk Theatre, located in Jonesville. Tickets are available now at www.thesauk.org. All tickets are $10. The September 9 performance is a Pay What You Can Preview. Preview tickets are not sold in advance.
