The National Theater Live Screenings Return to Rialto Theater With JULIE

Based on August Strindberg's 1880 classic play, this version is a contemporary presentation by Polly Stenham set in a modern flat in London.

Stars Vanessa Kirby as Julie (The Crown, Mission Impossible 6, NTL A Streetcar Named Desire). She recently won BAFTA for her role playing Princess Margaret in the Netflix series of The Crown, and has also been nominated for an Emmy Award.

Directed by Carrie Cracknell who will be familiar to NTL audiences with previous broadcasts of The Deep Blue Sea and Medea that were very successful. Beautiful and cinematic set design by Tom Scutt, who also created the set for The Deep Blue Sea.

Wild and newly single, Julie throws a late night party. In the kitchen, Jean and Kristina clean up as the celebration heaves above them. Crossing the threshold, Julie initiates a power game with Jean - which rapidly descends into a savage fight for survival.

The play contains strobe lighting.
