Experience Carmen as never before with the Company Premiere of the modern and dynamic Carmen.maquia. Spanish sensation Gustavo Ramirez Sansano’s return to Columbus following the 2014 World Premiere of his work “Lovely Together” for Innovations and the 2014 Company Premiere of “18+1” for New Directions/New Works. Carmen.maquia opens at the Capitol Theatre on February 5, 2016 and runs through Valentine’s Day. “This nouvelle ‘Carmen’ twists, jerks, jumps and finally seduces for a tour de force as human and moving as the original,” said Sid Smith, Special to the Chicago Tribune.
