Looking for a Theatre Director position this summer?



Camp Eagle Hill is looking for a responsible and well-skilled individual to be our Theatre Director for the upcoming summer. This position would be contracted to start June 16th, 2017 and end on August 5th, 2017.



Founded in 1963, Camp Eagle Hill is a private, coed sleepaway camp located in Elizaville, NY. Our campers range in age from 6-16 and come from the United States and all over the world!



Responsibilities



Our Theatre Director oversees all other staff members in the Theatre Department, which includes a dance instructor and a technical specialist and/or artistic specialist to handle scenery, props, costumes, etc.



- The Theatre Department puts on three productions per summer — musical, one-act comedy and a musical review.

- The Theatre Director handles all aspects of the shows.

- In addition, the Theatre Director conducts classes in other theatre related activities.



We are looking to establish a long-term relationship that will afford consistency from one season to the next.



Qualifications



- Qualified applicants for this position should have a strong theatre background.

- Important characteristics of the applicant are strong ability with time management, creativity, and flexibility.

- A successful candidate will be able to balance the needs of the department with that of the rest of the camp program.

- Musical theater background is necessary.

- Experience with children or children’s theatre is a plus.

- Ability to play the piano and accompany both our musical production and musical review is a plus.

- Ability or background in choreography and set design is a plus.
