Sound Supervisor At Bay Street Theater 2018 Summer Season - Bay Street Theater

Bay Street Theater, Sag Harbor, NY seeks a Sound Supervisor for the upcoming Summer 2018 Season. Bay Street is a professional Regional theatre company with a 299-seat mainstage situated on Long Wharf, in Sag Harbor, NY. Baystreet works with professional directors, designers, playwrights, and actors from New York City and around the country.



The Mainstage productions for this season are the world premiere of FELLOW TRAVELERS (May 29 – June 17), FROST/NIXON (June 26 – July 22), EVITA (July 31 – August 26). Please check out Baystreet's website for more info: www.baystreet.org.



Duties for the Sound Supervisor will include providing audio support to all BST events including, but not limited to, mainstage productions, concerts, comedy shows, outdoor shows, annual Gala fundraiser, special events/projects. The audio department is responsible for the sound system install and operation for all performances, as well as production intercom and show program. The Sound supervisor is responsible for hiring the Sound Intern, scheduling running crews, maintaining the sound inventory, coordinating audio equipment rentals and purchases. They will maintain direct communication with the mainstage sound designers and will also be the audio engineer for EVITA. The Sound Supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager. Candidates should be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, work safely, efficiently, and quickly and exhibit professional behavior at all times. Strong organizational skills are required with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional non-traditional hours. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in high places. Ideal candidate would have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.



Season employment is from May 6 through September 8. Salary and housing included.
