Melissa Ford Voice Studio -

Melissa’s training is grounded in voice science and health. Her lessons are specifically tailored to meet each individual singer’s needs and goals.



Melissa received her Level 1 certification in Somatic Voicework ™: The Lovetri Method under Broadway voice teacher Jeannette LoVetri. This system of pedagogy draws from classical vocal pedagogy as well as dance, acting, speech pathology, yoga, and Alexander Technique ™. Melissa is a graduate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy’s Musical Theatre Integrated Program and has over 10 years of voice and performing experience. Most recently she was a soloist at a popular East Village Cabaret Review. She has been performing steadily in New York Theatre (Off-Off Broadway), including at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre and Times Square Arts Center. Melissa is a proud member of the New York Singing Teachers' Association, Somatic Voicework (TM) Teachers' Association, and Association for Popular Music Education.
