Director of Production - Second Stage Theatre

Seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Production to be part of Second Stage Theatre?s growing institution. The right candidate will work to maintain and ensure the caliber of our first class productions in our three venues both on and off-Broadway. This position reports directly to the Executive Director. Responsibilities Include:Responsible for assembling seasonal production budget Work with Creative team to remain within production budget requirementsBid production elements to various shops to ensure highest quality possible while remaining within budgetOversee staffing and crew hoursMaintain Production and Institutional CalendarsCoordinate Design InterviewsCoordinate and run Production MeetingsProvide resources for effective and efficient rehearsal processesOversee load In and load outProvide support during tech process including attendance at preview performancesProvide input on show scheduleContinue dialogue with current and future creative teams to ensure communications Ensure creative team is getting necessary support both financially and emotionallyResponsible for all load in and production needs during run of show to ensure being on time and on budget while maintaining a safe first class presentation. Settle all disagreements and / or concernsDetermine the needs of each production (running crew numbers, salaries, etc)Show staffingCoordinate and service 2ST Marketing, Development and Artistic Events both on and off-siteCoordinate with Operations Manager to service outside rentals of theatre and rehearsal spaceQualifications and Education Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of experience, preferably with appropriate Broadway experience.Second Stage Theatre is an equal opportunity employer and encourages all to apply.
