Grants & Special Events Associate (Part-Time)Virginia Stage Company seeks a highly motivated, passionate and experienced non-profit administrator to lead the organization?s grant writing activities and assist with periodic special events. The Grants & Special Events Associate (GSEA) will write, research and manage grants for corporate, foundation and government funders on behalf of Virginia Stage?s artistic, education and community engagement programming. The candidate will work with many Virginia Stage staffers in the collection of programmatic, statistical and financial information, assemble work samples and other grant proposal necessities, and identify/research potential funders for the organization. Additionally, the GSEA will serve as a point of contact/lead and a key staff member in the coordination of special events throughout the season, including, but not limited to Virginia Stage?s annual Gala.A part-time opportunity (25 hours/week), the right candidate will join a dedicated staff at of one of Norfolk?s most important cultural assets, a leading non-profit currently celebrating 40+ years of theatre-making. Flexibility of work schedule expected with seasonal shifts of workflow intensity and focus.
