Costume Shop Manager - George Street Playhouse

Costume Shop Manager ? George Street Playhouse, an Active LORT theatre 40 minutes from Manhattan, seeks an experienced Costume Shop Manager to run the costume shop for their 5 show mainstage and 2 show educational touring company season. George Street is soon to be opening its brand new theaters and shop facilities in the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center that has been under construction for the past 2 years and is looking for a Costume Shop Manager to staff, set up, organize, and manage the Costume Shop in their brand new facilities. Main responsibilities include: working with designers on the execution of their costume designs in the areas of stitching, cutting, draping, shopping, dying, altering, and fittings, along with any craftwork, hair styling, and wigs or make up work. Other responsibilities include: Managing the costume budgets for all the productions, supervising the costume shop staff and wardrobe staff, maintaining the upkeep of the shop and shop equipment, and keeping stock inventoried and organized. Applicant must be a team player and have at least 3 years experience as a shop manager or assistant shop manager. Position begins in August 2019. Benefits available.
