The company?s portfolio of age-appropriate programs includes Shining Stars (age 7-9), Mainstage (age 10-17) and Next Step (14-17).Position Overview:Camp Broadway is seeking a Costume Assistant Spring/Summer Intern who is highly motivated, energetic and creative. Our internships offer visibility, hands-on learning, and practical work experience in a fun, friendly environment that allows you to develop and share your ideas while gaining valuable experience in the theater industry. Under the supervision of the Program & Production Manager, Line Producer, and Costume Designer, the Costume Assistant Intern will be responsible for assisting the Costume Designer with research/sourcing, the packing and unpacking of costumes and accessories, maintaining the appearance of costumes as needed, ensuring all pieces are available when needed and keeping an accurate record of all items. The Spring/Summer 2019 internship will run from April 15th ? July 15th and requires a minimum of 10 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship.Additional Responsibilities:?Mending and altering pieces as needed?Assisting Costume Designer with fitting the performers?Storing costumes and returning hired items?Cleaning, steaming and ironing?Upkeep of Gypsy Robe and swatches?Creating Costume Suggestion Sheets for campers?Assisting with the packing of camper bags?Administrative responsibilities as assigned ?Assisting with the execution of Camp Broadway?s programs and eventsRequirements:?Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor?s degree program, or a recent College graduate?Concentration in Marketing, Costume Design, Arts, Theatre or other related fields preferred?Must have at least a 3.0 GPA?Creative and innovative candidate with passion for the Arts?Design skills and knowledge?Strong verbal communication skills?Ability to work collaboratively and independently required?Strong attention to detailCamp Broadway, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
