Position Summary

Center Theatre Group seeks an Annual Fund Officer to join the company's Institutional Advancement team, reporting to the Annual Fund Manager. This position will focus on maximizing support from individuals who give $2,400 - $20,000 annually, and will manage a personal portfolio of 200+ individual giving donors and prospects.



Primary Responsibilities

1. Engage in front-line communication with Inner Circle members and answer calls to the member phone line.

2. Manage a personal portfolio of 200+ individual giving members, donors, and prospects, making personal solicitations that complement direct response appeals through email and direct mail channels.

3. Ensure that assigned prospects and donors are appropriately cultivated and solicited to achieve individual fundraising goal.

4. Work with Annual Fund and Stewardship colleagues to ensure that assigned prospects and donors are actively stewarded, and that they receive timely and accurate benefits fulfillment.

5. Proactively gain an in-depth knowledge of donors to ensure personal solicitations align with donors' interests.

6. Maintain an in-depth understanding of Center Theatre Group’s funding priorities and passionately and persuasively articulate them.

7. Ensure accurate recording of reports on all prospect and donor activities and interactions.

8. Act as an Institutional Advancement liaison to Center Theatre Group Box Office, Subscriptions, VIP Desk, and Audience Services in supporting member ticketing and subscription needs.

9. Act as a public face of Center Theatre Group to the member/annual donor community, attending and stewarding supporters at member events and through personal email and mail communications. Collaborate with Annual Fund colleagues to implement on-site donor engagement strategies that welcome, engage, and raise the profile of Center Theatre Group programs.

10. Assist colleagues throughout Institutional Advancement with additional administrative duties as needed to support individual giving programs.

11. Manage additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Two or more years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, with demonstrated success in closing gifts through personal solicitation. Experience in fundraising for performing arts and membership programs a plus. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with high-level donors are required; must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and database systems such as Tessitura. The successful candidate will be personable, an excellent communicator and writer, and will work independently to achieve fundraising goals. Candidates should have a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
